I trudged home in the snow after ICBC decided my car should not be driven.

They said it's not safe.
And...to add insult to injury...because it is Christmas Eve and a lot of business close early, there were no rental cars available. And....taxis are so busy they aren't answering the phone.
I will find out Monday if they will write it off or repair it.
Sigh......
The person at work who hit my car already feels bad.....they'll feel even worse now.

According to everyone I know that owns a Prius they get worse gas mileage than a Honda Civic. Pretty sad considering they cost 10K more, have worse performance, and are so much uglier!
And Blues, if I were up there I would definitely give you a lift wherever you needed one!
Sorry to hear about the car...

Thank you for the sentiment. I appreciate the offer. If it weren't for the fact that I have a lot of stuff to cart out to my sister's, I could go on transit and walk the half hour from the bus.
If my brother jams out I can call a taxi and then ICBC will reimburse.
Merry Christmas, Wrider.
ps...I saw a guy riding his dual sport on the road today.

What a nutbar.

Insurance can be a b1tch though. They can sneak around not paying you the full amount or they can charge you more in the future, and with Geico in my area they can drop you if you are involved in a few accidents a year if below 25 yrs of age (heard from people who were dropped not sure how true it is but Geico does charge an arm and a leg here).
I'm now going back to World War II killing the opposing team in Call of Duty World at War.
maybe a ride later tonight would be nice.

Thanks, ofblong.
I agree..what's the point of having a new car if you're not going to use it?

Like those shiny choppers, to say you have one and the occasional use in good weather.

My bike hasn't been washed (at least not by me but by the rain) in a year. From a distance it's still shiny and looks clean, up close you see water spots or grit on it letting you know it rained.
