The cheapest one the computer store had that would play my game. The Geforce 6200. Coming from an ATI Radeon 9000 pro.
Wow I'm such a computer geek, I thought when people upgraded their cards to play games I think GeForce 8 and higher all running on a PCIe bus. I didn't think that card still existed in the market with the GeForce 7300 and 8200 all flooding the sub $80 market along with AGP based systems nearly phased out.

I buy cards that won't require upgrading for 3 of years or more, depending on what I can afford at the moment (mostly in the $180 - 220 range). I don't own any consoles since I game on the PC more, just in case anybody wonders why I spend a bit on video cards.
Thats just how us broke people roll. 8)
I had the game for two months before I could scrounge up enough spare money to get a video card that will work for it. Hell, i was searching through the used video card bin at the pc store for something before I shelled out the $59 for a new one.

I ain't too proud to scrounge through old dodo for what I need.

Nothing wrong with scrounging for something you want. $60 is quite a bit for something that old, $60 could get you something with more power. I'm not too well to do, I cut back on a lot of going out (considering there's nowhere for me to go) and I work on my bike more so no need to use the shop until every 7000 miles or more. My PC is my do all so I splurge on that and it lasts for years.

I was trying to play with a Sempron, 2G system RAM, and the on-board nVidia 6150 chipset, and it just wasn't cutting it. The mb has a PCI-E but the power supply doesn't have any power connectors for a good video card. The 7200 card doesn't need the extra power connector and did increase my play enough that I was terrorizing a Spearhead server with awesome headshots again.

The PCIe video cards come with a Molex connector that converts it into a PCIe power connector. The reason why I upgrade my card is to play any game in the future. I play Call of Duty World at War on full settings giving me a nice visual and great frame rate for owning. Then there's the game Mass Effect and Fallout 3 that I play should I want a decent story. I find myself going back to Indigo Prophecy from time to time. I highly recommend it (game pad for certain segments) because it is a great story type game and doesn't need anything powerful.

Those mother fookers at Con Edison electric are overcharging me despite using just a few appliances ($140+). There's no way in hell I could run up that much. This is the 3rd time and there were times when it was at $60 and my power usage was pretty much the same. Hell I even don't bother turning on my lights, relying only lighting from the monitor well into the evening.

I think I have to invest in a Kill a Watt meter. What do you guys think?
