Yeah, that's my favorite palette (in fact my favorite page of my favorite palette) I need to get me another one of those catalogs. It came with my girfriends haloween costume.

I used a white primer as my basecoat followed up with around 2 heavy clear coats (hence the nasty run), the first with lots (relatively) of pearl and the second with less. Then I sanded it and tried to buff it, which I'm not good at, and failed, so I'll be putting down another clear and leaving it at that when I get a chance.

What's new Kit?

How's the bike work going? Have been following your progress for many months now and this thread helps to keep me inspired in the middle of a crappy Mid-Ohio winter. Hope spring will come soon and I can get back to work! Keep posting as you get time, Kit. Cory

Yup, I took care of that a while back, I actually took them to an old timer shop and had them cut down with new fittings. I've spent the last couple days cucooning loudbike in bluetape to make up SixtyNines' fairing, I think I'll be laying glass tonight. I haven't been able to figure out my new FTP loader and have been frustrated with my new camera, so I haven't been able to post anything recently.

great blog!!! i've been super-inspired by what you've done, i'm also working on a cb360, so your design has been really helpful, can't wait to see how it goes with your fairing!

I've been working a ton on my website, you wouldn't know it to look at it though. I've got a new index page up, but the rest of it is being worked on, I hope to have a few posted soon. Here's a little bit of one of the latest entries.

Also picked up a new motor for Loudbike since the other one is MIA in Georgia somewhere.

I've been told that it's been ported and has spent some time as a sand drag racer.

About your website optimization. If you want to keep it as one big image, add the page background color (#333333 I think) to the png. If you have photoshop just add a layer under the content and fill with #333333. Then save it as a jpg. Again, if you have photoshop, use "save for web" and save as a jpg instead of png, play with the settings to optimize it beyond the preset. Right now you have a png with an alpha channel, the alpha channel is doin nothing for you but making your image huge.
If you really want to make a huge improvement learn a little css and use float to place your images and type the text in the html. Aside from optimizing your page load, it will optimize you search engine results. There are tons of easy tutorials online, look for css floating images and z index.
If you need any help, let me know.

Hey Kit, what's the story on Loud Bike's Engine?

(Oh yeah, my old Cushman 3-wheeler now has a 250cc ATC engine on it. :-) 5-speed tranny w/ reverse, yee ha!)
