Today I got the check I've been waiting on to go pick up my bike. So went to the bank. And they say they may have to hold it for up to 11 days b/c it's an out of state check.

In this day & age of electronic verification, why couldn't Vanguard direct deposit the $? And why does it take up to 11 days to clear a check from another financial institution?

So today I fumed. But I AM closer to bike day . . . .

The more you drink, the less it is.

Though now that I am sober (mostly) I am lounging about and reading a book. I may soon switch to a riveting game of UT2k4 and "frag some dogs" as the kids say these days.

Using boiling water, a hammer, and a humongous screwdriver, I managed to extract the giant ice plug that was clogging our storm drain. It's been well above freezing for over a week now, and we still had a foot-long plug of ice 3 inches in diameter!  Water came spewing out into the street like a fire hose.

Found myself another job as a bouncer in a local club here in the Springs! :-)
Not as good-paying as the last job but it'll work as a temp job until I can find a bike tech job.

Today I had a pneumatics class. After class I downloaded Kuma War and The Kill Point while doing laundry, then played those games and some Portal. I went to the lake and walked across the dam. I just opened a Bridgeport IPA.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

I bought food for a homeless guy, matted some prints and then baked banana nut loaves.
