Yesterday it was 65°F here so I went riding from 11:00am to 4:30pm Took K5 out to K7 then north to Atchison. Jump on US-59 and take that north to Oregon MO, then MO-111 north to US-159 were we turned west and rode to Rulo NE. Turning south we rode to White Cloud KS still looking for the white cliffs. We rode up into town because I thought that 4th St turned into Buffalo Road which intersects with Chalk Bluff Road. I was wrong again. We did however find a lookout point that claims you can see 4 states. Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska are right there, but it would need to be a real clear day to see Iowa which is about 50 miles away. It was starting to get late so we hammered south on K7 back to the city.

Rode to work yesterday - first time since Dec. 29. Today is even more spring-like, but high winds and rain are forecast, so I left the bike home.

Spring is coming! :D

It was 54 degrees and raining this morning, with the rain predicted to taper off, then clear for a bit before the temperature plummets into the high 20's. Seizing the window of opportunity, I took my new Versys for a spin.
:ohyaoh: :ohyaoh: :ohyaoh:

I had errands to run, after all. I certainly wasn't going to mail the card that had been sitting on my desk for 2 weeks, when I could deliver it personally in about 40 miles.

Turns out the window wasn't entirely open yet, as I ran into rain within a few minutes. And a fairly steady wind. That was my second real weather test on a bike, the first being yesterday, when I got caught in quite a bit of rain coming home from a very nice, but long-winded, key maker.

Loafed...sewed a couple of patches on my vest...watched some Sopranos (never watched before...now watching whole series...the only way to see tv shows)

I am very jealous of the 7 day cruise....gonna do one one day....as a former sailor I have to say...going to sea without having to work would be awesome.

My only recommendation for cruising is a pre-trip diet...

I'm serious, you wake up there's food, go to your room get changed for the deck, you walk by more food, up on deck there's food for the late risers. Pre-lunch snack, lunch, snack while sitting by the pool, appies at the bar, dinner, dessert, snacks on deck, appies in the night club, midnight buffet, late night snacks for the party goers, did I mention room service???

LOL I am actually gonna start jogging again today because I want to be somewhat "thin" for the cruise instead of somewhat fat. Even though i only weight 210 lbs at 5'8" I am still fat. Either way thanks for the tip :D. What the hard parts gonna be is that this cruise is over a year away.
