Thanks! I absolutely love it, and it's fun to show it off to the guys in my Level II class in which I'm currently enrolled. (Yes, during a brief bit of insanity, I let my chief talk me into taking Level II Firefighter training - and it's kicking my behind!!). Since that photo was posted, I've been in for my touchup session, and I've had my glasses added and a bit of lip color as well. People (including my tattoo artist) thought it didn't look quite like me without the glasses, and I have to admit, it looks much more like me now. Our camera is currently on the fritz, but once it's been repaired, I'll post an updated pic.

Thanks again for the compliment!
Cheers,
Loonette

So hey, no tats or piercings to speak of, but I've got a question for all of you. Around here at work and school, my nickname is either Babyface or Tiny. (I still look clean shaven after 3 weeks) So I'm thinking about getting my good nickname, Tiny, in little letters across my shoulder.
I wanted to ask all of you guys what you thought. And yeah, just Tiny, in little letters, on the shoulder.

My advice to people has always been that as long as the tattoo is something you want for yourself (not doing it for anybody else), then go for it. I mean, if there's someone special in your life (wife, parents, kids) whose opinion is very important to you, then I think it's nice to consider that. But as for the rest of the world... who cares!

The only other thing I would say is to make sure you research the artist well. Cheap tattoos aren't good, and good tattoos aren't cheap. I know people who thought that, just because they wanted something small and simple, that they could have any 'ole beginner do the work. Even a small, simple design can come out looking like utter crud if it's not done by an experienced professional. Clean shop, clean tools, and lots of photos of work that has been done by the artist is a good sign.

Have fun and enjoy whatever you decide to have done. And remember to send us pics!

Cheers,
Loonette

I have 3 mermaid tattoos--one on each upper arm area, and one on my right outer calf. I also have a Speedy Gonzalez on my right shoulder, the words "Your name" in script on my butt, and a "uteritic Aries" symbol on my left inside forearm.
