LOL, no problem at all!! I'm happy to help anyone out at anytime, even in my own thread. :D

The reason I suggested it was because you gave me the idea that a blog based on what you are doing would help so many new riders out and they might not find it buried in my blog. :D

Honestly, I hope you create it as I'd love to read it myself too!

Finally, in 41°C weather, I took my first "pleasure ride" around East Houston. This was to see this street with some of the oldest buildings on it in Houston. With all the work over here at TMW, the house and 1/3 acre lawn stuff and moving here I haven't had the time to just go somewhere, and I'm glad I did this one. I think the photos turned out really, really well.
This section of Congress St. (c. 1890s-1900) is one of the oldest and intact commercial areas left in Houston. Unfortunately, the leftmost building suffered extensive damage after its roof collapsed.
It is located here: http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=Ashfo ... via=1&z=20

Quite a neat place, not a place I'd want to visit at night, but really neat during the day. East Houston isn't known for it's safety nor it's poshness either. But it does have some really cool architecture.

Enjoy!

I like the looks of your bike! I have always had a soft spot for Guzzi's, with a particular fondess for the long running California. I finally had an opportunity to ride one last year (an '06 Jackal) and I loved it.

Gorgeous pictures. Obviously staged. I don't see any bugs or dirt on that bike :)

Thanks so much for the great complements on the photos! :D I'll have to visit other interesting things around Houston then and show them off. :cowboy:

As for the DART screen, I'm temporarily removed it as it's so hot here any wind is a relief. Will be back on as it gets cooler or I go on longer than 1 hour highway trips. :D

To true, gotta keep it clean. Although it is still killing me to not wax and polish the paint! LOL.

Mistral exhausts are once again back on the bike!

So after a month and 4 tanks of gas testing to see if the stock exhausts would improve fuel economy they are now off the Mistral's are back on. What a noticeable different in not only sound but performance. I am not sure if it is coming directly from the more free-flowing exhausts, the loss of about 10lbs of weight or a combination of both but it has transformed the Guzzi V7 from mild to wild once again. I told the dealer, don't be selling any V7's without recommending these!

So now it's testing to see the gas mileage again with the Mistrals on, then we will all know weather it's the bike or the exhausts that are causing it.

For now, I'm very happy to once again have the Mistrals on the bike! :revv:
