The problem is the extra ridge around the rim of the cheap cartridges won't allow the extractor to grip the spent casing well enough. And it's not like we are spoiled for choice with ammo these days. Your head honcho down there is messin' with my ammo supply...... I don't like it.

"fudge" man, I didn't vote for him... I slept through the elections. And it doesn't help that we've had to buy so "procreating" many .223 rounds that the cost of copper, lead, and brass has skyrocketed the price of ammo. Even Wolf is getting expensive. As for the standards, don't expect much stopping power past 100 yards. Though they'll drive a take at that range, though maybe not with a 10/22. Accurate, but not bolt action accurate. Though iirc, 10/22's are capable of 2 MOA. I'm shooting about 8 MOA when I play the empty the mag as fast as possible game. I did plenty of 1 - 2 inch groups with my friends savage that has a wonky barrel (a lot get sent back for repairs within the first year) and an air rifle scope on it. I love accutrigger. I love everything about that savage .22 except the barrel problem.

Yeah, most of my gopher killn' is done less than 100 yards away so the Stingers don't get used often. And I generally push those out of my old Lakefield bolt action, a gun as old as me but never fired until I found it in an old lady's garage about 10 years ago.

Wasn't planning on using the small Kodak but my HD Camcorder, but my mount was too shaky on those roads. The mic on the Kodak caught the full wind blast and drowned up the engine song and I didn't bring my gaffer tape to cover it....

got opendns running on my router. So now I can block anything that I dont want my kids to look at (which means all popcorn sites for when they get older) using my router instead of my pc. You can also do it using your PC but I would rather my router do all that work than me lol.

*edit I should say another reason I went the router roue instead of the PC and instead of using the Hosts file is because it will be alot harder for my kids to figure out how to figure out the password on my router . Though there are many ways around that it will be a few years till they figure those ways out lol.

Yay!!!! Signed up today for the Stevenage Team in the National Road Rally. It begins at 2.00 Saturday afternoon (4 July), runs all through the night and finishes at 10.00 the next morning.

You start your ride at any of the checkpoints located throughout England and then plan a route which will get you through as many of the other checkpoints as possible within 20 hours. But you have to finish up at Bletchley Park before 10.00. If you ride more than 580 miles, hit the same checkpoint twice or arrive at Bletchley one minute after 10.00 you are disqualified.

The game is to hit the max number of checkpoints and get to Bletchley without running out of time or miles. It's not about distance. The fun is in the planning and geting the route right. There are no restrictions on which roads you can use.

Today I put up an electric fence around my garden. Emailed back and forth to a person wanting to buy my incubator. Did some badly needed cleaning around the house.

I pulled out in front of a Ducati MS rider =[. Of course I had plenty of room but the fact that I couldnt see more than 70 feet down the road without pulling into the middle of the first lane but at least the speed limit was only 15mph lol. Still makes me feel bad that I pulled out in front of him esp since thats one bike I sure wish I could buy. I guess he was prob 100 feet down the road when I pulled out but like I said I couldnt see him till I pulled out. Oh and yes im one of those that looks both directions if I dont see anything I pull out while still looking both directions "just in case". Of course this time I made the decision that I could still pull out and have plenty of time to get upto speed to where he wouldnt hit me.

On Friday, rode home from work completely knackered and spent.....then my baby brother calls begging me to baby sit his youngest, henceforth know as the 'orrible brat. Seems my middle brother had promised to look after the 'orrible brat for a few hours while baby brother and the missus went out with friend to see a movie and then bailed on him literally at the last minute.

So off I rode hell bent for leather (what the hell, any excuse to open her up on the highway right?) and got to Scurvy errr, I mean Surrey in record time.

As it turned out, their friends car went ti ts up on them and now they were going to the late show instead, meaning I had to look after the 'orrible brat till past midnight.

Being a dutiful uncle, I did so in my usual diligent and alert manner





Around 1PM I rode home taking the scenic route to avoid all the drunks stumbling out of the clubs and pubs. Quite a nice ride too and then ran into the first forest rat of the season down on the East Delta flats. One big arsed Doe stand by the side of the road with it nose pointed towards the centre line. Slowed right down and swerved wide just in case she was suicidal.

Today, heading out to do a short video/picture taking jaunt of some of my favorite local rides, expect more boring pictures and videos soon.

Today I cruised around Victoria for a couple of hours. I started off on a ride just to get my bearings so I know how to get to the school from my friend's place in the morning...and decided to just keep riding for a while after I located the school.

Read and drank tea out in the garden.
