Ok, I'll just take your 599 (I'm planning on getting one for my next bike, if I can afford it at the timee).

Seems to be an isolated problem, but well-documented on the D675 forum. Triumph seems to be stepping up and replacing tanks wherever warranted: http://www.triumph675.net/phpBB2/viewto ... 2786#22786

the daytona looks very generic to me plus i don't like undertail exhaust.

the gixxer is still best looking bike to me and it doesn't look like anything else.

although the hyosung bikes seems to be copying the gixxer style from what i've seen but they still fail in comparison.

I don't know if there is something like for motorcycles, or if this can be fitted into a bike, but it is a good idea.

Now this is definately where I have to disagree with you Verm. The Daytona is subtle and refined, it has style. I know it's a Daytona before I see the markings on it.

The Gixxer is just well, plastic in comparison.

Still it does mean that when I win the lottery I'll only have to worry about Sev...

Naw I gotta agree with verm. The daytona doesn't look very good.

Of course I also think the Ninja 500 looks way better than the GS 500 so maybe I'm just weird.

Nope I hate the gs500 especially in person.

Wooh! I'm not the only one.

Just seems that everyone I've talked to says the GS is waayyy better looking than the Ninja.

From side view pictures off the net I can't even really tell. But in a dealership, the Ninja wins out. And it's more comfortable.

Gonna be my bike some day...

To me:

Daytona has cleaner lines and a more agressive stance, you see less parts. It looks minimalist for lack of a better term. The fairing looks sharper, and I keep coming back to the word clean, because that's what it is.

With the inline triple you get more power lower in the RPM range (which is something you wanted Verm). And it's got a narrow little chasis (very narrow) short rake, tight trail, and a much shorter wheelbase. All adding up to it being a monster through the corners.

The exhaust makes me sprout wood.

God, I'd love to have that bike. Guess I'll just need to mod mine until it looks close.
