Well, Bubba had the camera this time, so I only got pictures of myself... for the most part. People are slowly forwarding me pics of themselves, so they'll be added as they show up.

I'll post what's left, and leave a coulpe of funny stories for the end.

Thanks a TON for taking the pics Bubbagump, we'll get some of you next time!

This has to be the best biking summer EVER!

We're in Edson.

Slight change of plans. While we were supposed to leave at 2pm from Edmonton for Jasper, we instead left as soon as Sev was off work (around 7am) and left town.
We arrived in Edson and met up with another Biker (who has to work till 4) but will be joining us to, and in Jasper for the evening. Tomorrow we leave for the Icefield Parkway.

We've looked pretty hard and not found a USB cable so we can't post photos yet. All in due time folks. We'll ask this guy when he gets home from work. Till then we're eating his food and drinking his booze.

Oh yeah, Sev says Hi.

After ransaking this guys place we dug up a USB cable... and two corpses. We're going to just put the corpses back and pretend we didn't find them.

We aquire a new bike. 2001 Suzuki GS500 naked. Very cool, looks like a smaller version of my bike... but not as sexy.

This Canada Day weekend Malice and I embarked upon a trip to explore our little portion of Canada. As you can see from the map above we ran a quick circle from Edmonton to Edson, to Jasper, to Nordegg, then Sylvan Lake and home. All in under 36 hours. We took a ton of pictures.

Rather then blow the load all at once we've decided to post a pic or two a day and talk about what happened related to each one.

This is our bikes loaded for camping. We're currently pulled over just beside Lake Abraham, which is this huge trurquise blue lake that'll never in a million years transfer over into digital. But was so impressive that I spent more time watching it then the road. I couldn't help it and we ended up pulling over to snap some photos.

In all honesty we could have just turned around in Jasper after waking up and gone home the short way. But we decided that we wanted to experience riding through the mountains, even if it meant going WAY out of our way. And it was worth every second.

And that's right we somehow managed to pack enough stuff on our two little bikes to get a full camping trip in. With room to spare. 'A gruff looking gentleman at Tim Hortons phrased it better than I could have hoped to, saying: "How better to spend Canada Day, than by being out there, tasting it?" '

Welcome to flavour country.

Malice's writeup for the pic can be found Here as always.

Day two rolls about with a picture of Malice and myself infront of some Glacier. Up to that point the roads had been mostly long sweeping turns that didn't require much effort to get through, but allowed for a nice steady pace and some really good riding.

With the temperature flirting with the 30 degree mark we were both feeling the heat pretty bad. But every once in a while this ice cold blast would shoot through us, I love that little glacier.

Immediately after this the road turned into a wonderful little stretch of tight turns. Was a ton of fun until we got stuck behind some jerk in an SUV who insisted on doing well under the speed limit, and not letting us pass!

Sadface indeed.

More to come.

Welcome to day three, and my current desktop. This is two pictures digitally stitched together taken just off the shore of Lake Abraham.

To take this pic we stopped at a rest stop, crossed a double yellow to turn around to the point where we took it. Pulled over on the side of the road and braved traffic to take the shots. Then "flipped a b1tch," slang for a u-turn to get headed in the right direction.

Man, what a great trip.
