1. Take off with some piece of gear unfastened and flapping in breeze (helmet strap, jacket neck strap, etc.)
Done that!
2. Consistently stall bike because forgot about kickstand interlock.
No, but I have scrapped it against the ground pulling back out of the driveway.
3. Squirming in seat to correct wedgie
Or standing up and wiggling at the stop light!
5. At toll booth, drop toll ticket on transmission case just out of reach.
No...but I have one of those "automatic" toll booth tags...so does grabbing it and waving while jumping up and down to get it to trip with traffic backed up behind you count as uncool?

What really looks uncool are the guys riding on the street wearing 1 piece leathers with knee sliders.

Double uncool points if the knee sliders are in pristine new condition.

Heimdall Einherjar wrote:Ok, I gotta know from those who have been riding a while.

What make you look the least squid like?
Being able to ride, not pulling wheelies every couple of minutes, not banging the bike through tiny gaps and generally behaving as if the next place you want to be is A&E
Heimdall Einherjar wrote:Should I not put my helmet on until I've climbed onto the bike?
As long as the Bike is dead it's no problem. However sitting on your bike for any length of time with the stand down will damage the stand over time
Heimdall Einherjar wrote:Should I attach it to my backpack while walking rather than carrying it?
Its better off in your hand, you are more likely to take care of it if it is in your hand.
Heimdall Einherjar wrote:Does it look cool to hold yourself at a stop with your feet rather than the brakes?
Who cares how it looks? You're better off having the brakes covered with a foot up until you are ready to go.
Heimdall Einherjar wrote:Should I dismount from the left or right (kickstand is on the left)?
Bike will be leaning to the left then, so dismount and remount from the left.
Heimdall Einherjar wrote:Should I remove my lid just to refuel?
Here we have to remove helmets before paying for fuel. seeing as stateside gas stations probably have a gun weilding loonie working at them then its a probably a good idea to remove lid before paying there too...

My turn,

Are you real or a troll???

Now this guy is cool!!!

Note:

Not riding a bike that's too big.
Suspenders so you don't see his butt crack.
Over the ankle shoes.
High visability color cordinated clothing.
Lisense plate that doubles for advertisment.

And in case you're wondering... He doesn't need a helmet because he has enough body armour to keep his head well away from the ground should he fall.
