Welcome to the forums!
And way to take the high road. I wouldn't have keyed her car either... but I might have left an amusing note along the lines of "Thanks for taking away all that is dear to me... "O Ring"".
Are you planning on getting the same type of bike once you recover? Or are you looking at new models?

*laughs* I actuall said that! "I think I'll take the high road. I like to lead by example", but if i had any sticky notes I would have surely left her a mean one! With lots of angry faces: >_<!DivideOverflow wrote:Welcome to the forums!

I loved my bike, but i may get something more responsive. I'll wait to see how the settlement goes. i am not a greedy person so my ideal situation is just to end up at zero after everything. no loss no gain. but if i should get a bit more than expected, i might put some down on a sport bike. ^_^

Good to know you're doing better. It sucks having an injury that makes you unable to ride. And scars aren't necisarrily UN-sexy
Good call on not keying her car, since her insurance company is going to do a whole lot worse than that to her. Though a marker on the windshield for a note wouldn't have been too bad

buh-bye license, hellooooo criminal charges. I guess the insurance will be the most gentle part of this for her then. Though only cause she won't have it; i hear they don't offer insurance to those without licenses.AngellofFyre wrote:I am trying to be a good person throughout this whole case. But she is certainly going to get "OWNED" by the insurance company.
I hear that one DUI makes your insurance costs around 6k ... add a hit and run to that and who knows.
And i think whatever bad karma you had is taken care of by this.

It could have been alot worse. Personally I would not care about the money, aside from having my medical bills and damages covered. But we really need to crack down on drivers like this. DUI, hit and run...sorry, but I think she needs to do some serious jail time.
My guess is she's a young kid with a car daddy bought her, in college, and she ran because she was scared. If she gets a slap on the wrist, it only reinforces others like her that they can do this kind of thing and get away with it.
Nah, show us the bruises. It reminds us that riding IS dangerous, and I'd rather see bruises on your leg than some hairy guy
