Stock gearing on a hayabusa at redline will be around 200 mph, he would have also had to have changed the gearing by another 50 percent.

I don't know if it's true or not, just really hard to believe. I've felt the wind hit me at 186 and just can't see how a man can stay attached to the bike at 300 mph, It has to be next to impossible. Even at under 200, tucked behind the windscreen, with the wind resistance on your helmet it's about all you can do to keep your chin pressed to the tank.

Go find a strait road somewhere (once you have a little more time riding) and see what I'm talking about. You'll have doubts too.

If it's a dyno run at 300, that doesn't count because it doesn't factor in wind resistance.

you want windblast, jump on a liter class naked and try to run that up to top speed. Even at the mere 95mph I have had my bike up to the windblast was pretty intense.

Actually, I don't recommend anyone doing 186 on the highway, I've done it a few times and as I reflect on it I realize those were not some of my brighter moments. Things go by REAL fast, everything is pretty much a blur.

300mph on a suped to the gills 'busa? Impossible! 200mph on a 1926 Indian....more impossible....but Burt Monroe DID pull it off.....

It's a big model, nothing more.
At 400mph I dont think you'd want to be trying to turn anyway
If I remember the test rides it became unstable pretty early on, which is why the ten or so built got sold as moveable sculptures....

I couldn't even imagine going 186mph on land. Only time I have ever gone that fast is in an airplane, with someone else at the controls.

ok, we covered fast bikes, what are some expensive bikes?

PRODUCTION bikes, not that company that wants $50,000 for the customized busa they are always hawking on craigs list.

i suppose vintge counts too, like old harlys and indians.

I'm sure some vintage bike owned by a famous actor would top the chart.
