does my SV count as a crotch rocket? I am leaned over really far..... (and I do remove my hand from the throttle at stops sometimes, and yes its cause I am leaning forward and the hand hurts a bit) cause @3,000rpms if I crack it back it will get moving. at 5krpms it'll pull REALLY hard.

I think it is important that whether it is a car or a bike or them damn cyclists that you let them know your intentions, use your indicators or your horn or flash your lights, get noticed and let them know what you are about to do. I do have visions of driving through those packs of cyclists though and knocking them over like skittles.

You guys on crotch rockets always have to prove yourselves, show off, if nobody was around to see you, you guys ride the bike at a normal speed, I can understand if you wanta impress some cute little girl by goosing the throttle and riding wheelies, but I don't understand why some of you guys have to do that in front of me with a slow cruizer bike with the top speed of 90mph. Us guys riding slow cruizer bikes understand that your crotch rocket is wayyyy faster,. a crotch rocket is an easy bike to ride and some of you guys are not that good, and I just simply worry about you, thats why I move over and wave you guys ahead of me. On twisty mountain roads I have passed up crotch rockets with my slow cruizer bike, some of you guys can't handle those high speeds around tight curves, but on a 4 lane, level road you do OK.

And you're back to the generalizations.

Not everybody on a sportbike is an idiot, sure there are some, but there are a lot of great riders out there that just prefer that style of bike. I have noticed a whole lot of idiots on cruisers, but that doesn't make us all idiots does it?

I was travelling in a 50kph zone and was passed by two cruisers that had to be doing close to 100kph. Not only were they speeding, they were trying to pull wheelies and one was squatting on his seat as if he was going to do an "Indian Larry" stand up stunt.

Just goes to prove there's idiots in every crowd, all it does is to give a bad rep to all riders, but having a fellow rider paint everyone with the same brush is unfair and a bit shameful... :frusty:

I am too much of a gentleman to dignify that idiotic remark with a reply.

Want me to do is sapaul?
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

MotoF150 wrote:I Have never seen any crotch rocket riding with the traffic flow, going the speed limit, if im riding my bike at 75 mph behind a line of cars going with the traffic flow you guys don't need to pass me, you do pass me cause you don't wanta be seen riding with me, it don't bother me if you guys ride next to me, I just worry about some of you guys riding a crotch rocket that you have to pass and get away from me and you pass with dangerous road conditions, and if you wreck and kill yourself I kinda feel responsible cause the only reason you passed and speed up is because I was there. I didn't mean to make a generalization, sorry if you guys took it that way, Im just worried about you guys.

you have never seen ANY crotch rocket riding with traffic flow. . . thats quite a statement, and wats with the continued use of 'you guys'. the description your putting out isnt any of us so drop that crap. I understand that you can be worrried, just try use less generalizations and broad statements man.

Yup - time to start ignoring this thread/poster.

No reason to get into a fight over this and life is too short for us to get all worked up over MotoF150's "misconceptions".

Time to move on....
