No I haven't. But hey, half-eaten grilled cheese sandwiches sell on ebay so...what does that say?

The one exception to my carrying it with me is when I'm parking the bike and will be able to see it at all times while it's parked.

Otherwise it's in my hand. OR locked to the bike.

i never leave anything on my bike that i am not willing to lose. i carry my helmet with me into the mall or whatever and i wear my chaps and leather jacket, at least the mall is usually air conditioned heh.

i've left my lid strapped to the helmet lock once when i didn't have much choice...took me like five minutes to figure out how to put it on there since i never bothered with it in the past.

I just use the helmet lock on the motorcycle. In all these years, I haven't yet run across someone stupid enough to cut the strap and buckle off of a helmet to steal it.

I'll take my helmet inside if I have to park in an unshaded area. The last thing I want to do on a hot summer day is to go outside and put a 120 degree helmet on my head.

The other day I found another helmet lock on my bike. The second one was tucked under the seat. You have to pop the seat up to use it. The main one sits under the grab bar and has its own lock.

Locking it or taking it with you is a good idea. True there is no market for used helmets, but people are "procreating" stupid and will take something just because they can. I think the little hook lock dealies are more to prevent the impulse grabbers than the hardcore helmet hunters.

Cable/chain is good for locking cause it goes around the solid part of the helmet, not just the strap, and you can thread it through a jacket arm if you want to lock your jacket.

Usually I just take my stuff with me though. I'm lazy like that.

One of the great things about the Goldwing is, that two full face helmets fit in the trunk. Jackets can fold up and go in the side bags. No worries.

I eather just put my helmet on my footpeg or wear it inside with me, I'm not that worried about it getting stolen as it's pretty hard to see unless your looking at the footpegs for some reason.

I haven't left mine on the bike, locked or not. It comes inside with me. The $600 price tag might have something to do with it. I'd hate to have to spend that kind of money again to replace my lid because some shithead thought mine was cool.

I don't like to carry a helmet while walking around in Walmart, but I certainly don't like leaving it hanging on a hand grip in the parking lot either so I bought one of Kuryakin's locks that mount at the end of their ISO grip and locks the helmet thru the D ring. You can of course put one on the other grip for a passenger if needed. Lock is nearly invisible when not in use.

I always lock mine, but helmets are gross.

I have sneezed in mine and sweated quite a bit. If you are desperate enough to steal that biological nightmare, you are welcome to it. I could use a good excuse to buy a new helmet!
