Mmm, just got back from a ride. Bike performs nicely and really wakes up at about 10,000 RPMs.

Got off the horn with State Farm. If I move my car over to them (at about double my current rate) they will insure my 599 with full coverage for about $42 a month. Net savings of $100 or so a year, or $500 if I go liability only.

I'm a short ride away from my 600 mile maintenance so it's time to pick up a filter and some oil.

The '06 now has an inverted front fork, which should have improved suspension response up front.

Already popped the bike's gravel road cherry. I wanted to know where the road went, dangit, so I kept on going.

Of course now I need to clean the chain again. No problem since I'm doing my 600 mile maintenance in about 10 minutes, though. :)

Ah, forgot that on that road, a dog came leaping out of the bushes about 10 feet away from me at 35 MPH. I gunned it to get out of its intercept angle and I'm afraid it might have gotten a face full of gravel. :( Tough to keep traction on gravel with those Pilot Roads.

They (Unlike the larger honda naked) are built in Italy, and the weak dollar versus the strong euro is what's keeping the price up on these.

And the dollar keeps getting weaker. Today it cost $1.30 for a Euro. That sucks because I am used to a Euro costing $1.20 and I gotta pay my rent in Euro...E1170. It will cost me an extra $117 to pay my rent this month verses last month :frusty: .
