meh,m if they want it bad enough, theyll get it, you just want to discourage the casual, "Hey look, a bike! lets Break/steal/mess it up" kind of people.

I know a guy I work with that can get into a locked car and have it started in the time it takes me to get one of those steering wheel locks off. Then again we have had to go "pick" someones car so they could get into it lol (only people we know never a stranger).
Well, that's why I got one of them pocket sized anti-theft devices :shooting:
I gotta remember not to park in your hood :humm:
lol I am an industrial mechanic. it requres that I have to get broken keys out of locks sometimes and well sometimes I have to get into a locked room to replace a bad door knob hehe. We have the occasional worker lock their keys in the car. As long as its not keyless entry we can get into it :D.

*edit
we did have one person who "thought" they locked their keys in their car. took us a few seconds to realize she had them hanging out of the trunk lock lol. good thing her car was still there :D.

Does T have a house key chained to his ear? I've heard of latch-key kids, but ....
Ride it like you think owning it matters.

Yeah, I know its alot of work to park it behind your cage, but its just that one small deterrent that could prevent the idiot from messin with your bike. Plus, maybe some guy would see him screwin around back there and spook him.

you could always just take the front tire off and take it to your room!

The way I see it; in America the Constitution entitles you the right of life, liberty and property. So I would say that it follows that if anyone is caught trying to mess with those rights (i.e. messin with your bike = messin with your property), you can do whatever you like.

So like Sev said, you can put a helmet into their head and not worry about them sueing you (....err....hopefully)

around here kids will dump dirt in ur gas tank or engine crankcase, the locking gas cap will keep them outta the gas tank, but no bike has a lock on the oil cap in ur crankcase, mostly they do it to Harleys sitting outside of the bars, so if ur pulling ur bike into a bar parking lot and some kids are standing there, I would be nice to them and don't act like a big tough biker and try to threaten them not to touch ur bike. I go to the same bar and they never touched my bike.
