good to hear you got someone to go look at it with you but don't get your hopes up on the bike, there are always going to be decent deals out there for beginner bikes as people out grow them.
the Motorcycle safety course is pretty important, you might take the course and realize you absolutely love one type of riding position over another and now you have a bike that you don't care for.
still if it's mechanically sound, a thousand bucks or so (depending on your financial situation) is pretty much like renting it for a summer and learning. you can also learn a bit about the mechanics and know a bit more what to look for on the next bike.
also remember your first bike isn't your last bike in most cases, so it's probably better to get a bit of a junker that if it drops you can shrug it off instead of freaking because you just depreciated the value by 500bucks heh.

Yeah... he already covered that. How the hell am I supposed to know? He is just rattling on about London, and it isn't like they even show us a map of Canada in American schoolsBubbaGump wrote:DivideOverflow wrote:The bike is in London? It is probably a scam. If not, I would still stick to something local to you, in case there are any problems.
It's London, Ontario - not London England!

It's London, Ontario - not London England!..which is really sad. I really should become more geographically educated...

I know all the states but only provinces I know in Canada are Alberta and Quebec, and that Quebec is like, hippies or something who wanna break away from Canada.
Other then that, no idea. We never covered it in my school either. And in college our professor just went "Canada, know where Alberta and Quebec are and why they're important". I know where both of them are, why Quebec is important, but never learned the importance of Alberta.

Do you live up North or something? I haven't seen a public school yet that gives two craps about geography. My two states of experience are California and Florida... yeah, I know, Florida education sucks. California was worse.. at least in Florida I don't feel threatened by gang violence.ofblong wrote: wow you must have went to a poor school because I had to learn every province of canada and was shown many maps of canada.
My school wasn't poor, by the way. We had very good ratings and test scores. However, none of the testing ever involved geography. Ever.
