I have never had someone pull a gas pump handle out of my hand and start filling their bike.

I've never had someone assume I was paying. If I did, I'd straighten that out right away.

Sounds like big talk from behind the keyboard again.

Shoot if someone expected me to pay (and it's not a date) they'd still be waiting at the restaurant as I went out to 'get my wallet'.

As for the tagging along thing. I don't know, I'd feel kind of awkward just joining another biker's group. Wouldn't mind others joining mine though, the more the merrier.

Dry, brittle and compulsively-lying twig.

Most of my friends have sports bikes so I am always left riding by myself.... I actually went out to a Biker Bar today I read about in one of the magazines... It was great, I don't get where all the harley anymosity is from...

There were harleys, metrics, sport bikes and choppers and everybody was cool... I got to talking with a few guys and went for a ride with them... It was probably the most fun I have had since I got back into biking... On the way there I came up on a bunch of Harleys and followed them in formation as I had a feeling they were on their way there, they weren't but I rode with them for about 5 miles and nobody gave me dirty looks.. The tail rider even waved me off when he saw I was pulling away to the bar.

If you ride up next to me with ur bike at a stop sign or red light don't expect me to be friendy and I know many other bikers that agree with me and feel the same as I do. Never never never ride next to another bike in the same lane if you don't know each other. After reading the last posts some of you guys have a lot to learn.
You ride alone cuz no one wants to be seen with such a F^(%ING
"O Ring" !!!!!!!

there are small nuggets of truth you can pan for though
never ride next to another bike in the same lane if you don't know each other
this is more common sense though and actually illegal in many jurisdictions to ride side by side down the road.

One of the most fun rides was going down the main street through town, alone, and first a guy with a santa beard on a big loud (and I mean LOUD, I could feel it in my chest) probably homemade chopper pulls out and tags alongside me. Then a couple streets up an average looking cruiser pulls out and joins behind us. Then a little way further another bike comes off a side street, so there were four of us riding along in formation as the street opened up into the highway and nobody knew anyone else.
It was like one of those dumb commercials, but real.
