Anyway the reason I want to learn is not so I can stunt on public roads looking like a jackass, but rather a matter of control of the bike.
If I can safely control the vehicle on only the back wheel, it's a matter of discipline and skill.
My belief is if I can wheelie this low-torque thing, I'm good enough to handle pretty much anything.
Take a look at the Demo Video.

I actually have luggage for the big stuff. If I'm going for a ride then I'll strap on the tank bag. If' I'm goin' for a couple of days then I'll throw on the top box and side bags...
But unfortunately most of my riding consists of going to and from work, school and my volunteer job. I only use my back pack for school...

so wait... your friends want you to wheelie? or this is a personal disipline thing? if you rode a bike that was prone to wheelies it might be a skill to know, but if you cant get your bike to wheelie wen you try then why do think you'll need to know how to do it?
you are being squiddy. if you think the people here are going to be impressed that you and your friends can do wheelies, we arent. if you want to be a squid, thats your own buisness, but dont expect support from the people here becasue you wont find it. now why dont you go practice a REAL skill like turning, or panic stops, or anything you might NEED to do on the road.
not trying to be mean, but im just being honest with you.
now if you want me to go decapitate "little-man" with a bike sprocket thats cool.

You can't wheelie on a machine with an engine producing torque on hand? I can go get my bicycle and wheelie on that.
