How did you get in an accident, AngellofFyre?

Oh, and back to the question: I am very happy with my SV650S. I like the sportbike style better. I didn't realize Ducati is only $500 more. I'd certainly pick that over naked SV. I got to agree -- they do look sexy.

I know the girls are impressed with the right looking and right sounding bike, you can look like a total nerd with pimples and bad teeth, but if you have the right bike, you can impress the chicks.
guess which bike below gets me the most attention(in a good way) from women?

ok , well....none of them...but thats not the point!!!

if what you wrote above is why you ride, then I'd say you're in it for the wrong reasons.

If that's why he rides, he will soon be just another statistic, and that's just plain sad... :frusty:

By the way Angel, How are you doing??? I know it takes quite a while for foot injuries to totally heal, so if you're looking for bikes already, it must be a good sign.

I didn't buy my bike to impress girls. Had a girlfriend BEFORE I bought it.

You're either (a)trolling or (b)you have a pin d1ck.

That being said, I REALLY like the SV. It would have been my choice if I'd had enough money when I bought my bike a month ago.

BUT, that was before I saw the Monster 620.

The SV might require less maintenance, but the Duc is HOT looking and unique.

I think I'd have to sit on and mabye actually ride both, to make up my mind.

Ok, this thread prompted me to go to the ducati/suzuki/triumph dealership today. Well, I had wanted to go for a while.... this was just an excuse.

I love the monster! It is comfortable, very light, and hot like fire. The SV didn't do it for me. I found the ergos on the monster to actually fit me better. I am 6'0 220lbs btw.

They also had a used MV Agusta Brutale S there... lightest bike I have ever sat on. It felt like it was floating. The whole thing was carbon fiber... and it was very sexy.

I'm honestly considering a Monster 620 (or 695) for my next bike. I've heard good things about the handling, and it is just about the horsepower/fuel economy ratio that I like!

The maintenance isn't bad on them either. You can do it all yourself, and if you get performance valve collets for $149 that extend the valve check interval to 18,000 miles!!! (http://www.mbpducati.com/2v/index.htm)

That is the "big" thing that most people consider to be expensive maintenance... and from what I have read, checking/adjusting the valves on these doesn't seem to be a big deal. Thanks TechBMW for the info in a previous thread!

Now to just get a house.... THEN I'll think about the bike.

YES. SV1000S sound like heaven, the RC51 sounds like heaven on a stick (meaning better). I'm sure the SV650 or Monster would sound almost as good too.

Do you wanta ride a bike around in public and be embarressed by the way the bike sounds and everybody will point and laugh at you, or do you want a sweet sounding engine and exhaust sound that everybody will respect and the hot babes will say "oh wow" ?
I think you should bring this http://forum.svrider.com/

I'd like to see what they do to you.

I'd go with the SV if I were you, only because of the maintenance issues (and I guess since I have one..."if I were you", you'd already have one...weird  ) Once you're past your 600 mile service on the SV, you pretty much have to lube the chain, change the oil, tires and brake pads. No valve adjustments (unless you're over 100,000 miles) or carbs to sync or any of that. But go with which one is more comfortable...and dont' get me wrong the Monster is bad a s s. Naked bikes rule!
