Nobody mentions Horse Power
Well I was a little off on the twinkies anyway. It's like 86 FT/LBS of torque, not HP. But I do know that the only bike listed with a slightly different motor is the softail which has the TC88B. It's balanced because the softails don't have the shock mounting the rest of them have.
Still seems the rest should be the same tho.
I dunno... It's the throttle that makes it go anyway... not the horsepower... lol!

~ It's not the quantity of miles -- It's the quality of the ride ~
""" MOTORCYCLIST""""" mag, www.motorclistonline.com,, the last page, "Hard Numbers" lists measured hp, torque, 1/4 mile, top gear roll ons, wet weight, ergos. For an example they list the HD Sportster. 1200 Roadster at 64.4 hp @ 6000 rpm, the Honda VTX1300S at 60.3 hp , Kawasaki Mean Streak is listed at 63.7hp@5750rpm, 1/4 mile is 13.43 @ 96.7 mph, very impressive for that hp and low rpms, but the top gear roll ons is not very good rating at 5.52 seconds, thats about the same as a Gold Wing or a Honda Civic. If ur riding one don't pass anybody in top gear. In no way am I condeming the Mean Streak, its a good bike, it may be geared higher at top gear, im sure if you gear it down its ok. The Mean Streak is a great looking bike.
