Personally, I hate the Sportster because it is REALLY top-heavy. The engine sits way too high. Feels like I'm trying to balance a bowling ball on top of a broom-handle.
I know what you mean! I took the first part of the MSF driving course on a Honda Rebel. When I came home and hopped on my 883, I was still a bit reluctant to lean too far to turn. I think I just have to suck it up and lean more =)

Yeah I had the same feeling after hopping on my first bike after taking the BRC. I think it also has to deal with the fact that usually your first own bike weighs much more than the one you use for the BRC.

Honda Rebel = 330lbs
My bike = 550 lbs
