It is less scary if there is a back rest and floorboards. Maybe you could get someone you trust who is an extremely competent rider to take your wife for a ride on his bike. Maybe if she gets to experience a nice, smooth, easy ride it could change her outlook.
hehe the bike im looking at has a back rest (its only 6" high) but my wife still says she wont ride on it :D.

Blues is right, keep her involved. Take her to the dealerships and have her check out the bikes as well. The more involved she feels the more inclined she'll be to let you get one. The backrest and floor boards make a big diffrence for comfort and feeling safe. I was against my husband getting one and now he has two and I have my own. Take the MSF course if you already haven't and maybe even suggest that she also goes to try it out, you never know.

One local bar when every guy walks thru the front door they say " Ho Ho Ho" and the sleazy dumb girls say merry christmas.

And if you guys think ur woman doesn't lie? ha ha ha ha ha she has you fooled ha ha ha ha some day you will wake up and find out all she cares about is herself and nothing about you, its too bad some of you guys are living in a dream world and ur being used, you will find out, ha ha ha ha ha ha
if that was the case then my wife would have jumped on it the instant I suggested it since I am worth way more dead than I am alive. Heck my wife could survive 5 years after all the bills and funeral expenses without having a job.

+ a few other lines in this thread you wrote...

Wow Moto. I was prepared to cut you some slack cause everyone's always crapping on you here and I took everything you wrote in humor but...wow, you are totally messed.

Either this is what you really think of people in general (male and female based on your other forum rants and posts) and so, you will never have any friends, your wife will ditch you & any gfs (if you are ever so lucky) will run for cover. Or, you are totally pathetic and use this forum and any others to try to get a rise out of others cause you have no life and need these reactions to justify your existence and this cyber-yelling is somehow the only thing that's satisfying to you....sad.....
Ya right, there are only 2 kinds of bikes: It's a Ninja... look that one's a Harley... oh there's a Ninja... Harley...Ninja...

Just ignore him. He comes here to antagonize people and to try to get a rise out of them.

Yeah Andrew - you're right. But it IS pathetic...

Anyhow - that sounds great about getting your wife onside. Hey, pretty soon I bet you could get her riding! Have you taken a course yet and will you be getting a bike soon? If she's really interested after that...slowly start convincing her that she could be a rider too. Then get her in a course...etc. Really! Tell her there's just nothing quite like it and it is just so exhilarating and empowering...get her surfing and reading up on m-c stuff and especially women in m-cycling too. Books, internet, whatever! No time like now!

Good luck!! :D

*Edit* to add link info
Oh yeah - get her to this site too about female riders http://www.vtwinmama.com/index.htm
