What is it with squids and gixxers anyway? In my neck of the woods, probably >90% of the squids are on gixxers.

Maybe Suzuki needs a new slogan: "Gixxer: choice of a squid generation".

here in CA, i see a lot of sport riders that don't wear full gear regardless of the brand of bikes they have.

anyway... the new gixxers are just the hottest thing right now.

im not a full blown squid but i do some squidly things every now and then.

It's the same reason everyone underage drinks Smirnoff around here. Brand name recognition. When you don't know what you should be buying (haven't looked around the store) you just ask for whatever you know about. And Schmirnoff + Crown Royal are the most advertised. Next to Bailey's.

Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

I always remember the drink of choice being Natty Light or the Beast for underage drinkers...

It's a medium priced vodka that is advertised a lot.

Weak huh? So our guys can hold down hard liquor, and you need weak-"O Ring" watery american beer.

I have a weakness for Smirnoff Black, it's a smidgen more than the Red label but a lot better.

The Green and Purple are good too.

Funny thing is that Suzuki is the only maker who advertises their supersport/superbike line as being "not for beginners." So maybe the squids just want to prove them wrong
