What's your point in digging that up?

The Scrambler I find appealing because it's good looking, simply built, and could handle dirt roads.

I am not interested in it to pretend to be Steve McQueen or anything.

The thing that bugs me about cruisers is more the motives for riding than anything else.
When I see these morons with the fake biker getups and big dumb beards, that's what makes me go off on cruisers.

I'm curious - what constitutes a fake biker getup? And how do you know what their motivations are for riding?

I actually got my harley cheaper than I would have the japanese equivelant. Honda wasn't willing to budge on prices - harley was. I don't care what the image is, I went with the bike that felt the most comfortable and gave me the most bang for my buck.

So it's ok for you but not others? How do you know what motivates people to ride that you haven't even met? How do you tell the difference between the real bikers and the "fake" ones as they are riding by anyway? Why do you care if someone wants to wear a big beard? Maybe someone could comment on your cheesey 5 o'clock shadow and crooked haircut... is your barber smoking weed before he cuts that mop?

And who are you to judge others' motives? People ride for hundreds of reasons and you'll never know without confirming it with each one. If it's for posing, so what? You don't have to associate with anyone you don't want to. You mentioned in other posts about how you don't care for communist thinking. You're now being hypocrytical by flaming those with who ride that are "poseurs".

You know, I was not born in the U.S. I was born in a communist south east Asian country, but now live in the U.S. I embrace people's freedom to do whatever they want as long as it's legal. I don't question their love for anything as long as interest doesn't prevent me from enjoying mine. If I don't see it from their point of view, I turn and focus on my own interests. I don't call them idiots because I respect their freedom to choose their options. That, IFly...is freedom. You'll never truly know its true beauty unless you've lived in an opressed society like I have.

you forgot to mention that beards are awesome, i mean look at all the people with beards, Santa Claus, Jesus, Odin. see beards are great

you know, people buy bikes for all kinds of reasons, I wouldnt attempt to say any are wrong.
