I agree, those who are against it would fill it out, including those with religious beliefs.
I'm 100% for automatic donation. If someone were to pilage my body after I'm gone, who cares, if it's eventually going ot help somebody else go for it.
The problem now is that the people who don't care one way or the other simply don't take the time to fill out the tiny bit of paperwork to potentially save lives. Meanwhile how many peole die waiting for organ transplants because some shmuck couldn't sign the paper give up their organs.
To those who are against it because they're not benefiting from their organs after their dead, GROW UP! Those are the most selfish aruguments I have ever heard. Maybe one day you'll realize how flawed you thinking is when it's you waiting for an organ that not available because the person who could have saved you life was jsut as selfish as you.

I think those who are against it for whatever reason should be taken to the local cemetaries and allowed to view dug up corpse with all the insects intact. Then asked who they prefer to give their parts to, the insects or another human.

In the US you can murder 5 children by brutally drowning them while they beg for mercy without getting the death penalty (thanks to the boobie-exemption) - sorry, just read a description of the Yates murder, made me sick, lady needs to fry bad.
I donate. I hadnt thought about people making a profit on it. Any charity or donation, someone makes money for their time.

Only scary thing is, that you may be worth more dead than alive if its automatic. The doctor has far less motivation to save you in a timely manner, if he can remove and ship your organs at a higher profit.
I am all for it, except for the fact that time may be eaten up trying to figure out your donor status and compatability with possible recipients. If I am brain dead, hook me to life support and find suitable homes for my good organs. I dont care and wont feel any pain. You can leave the remains in the landfill for all I care.

I'm pretty sure most doctors have enough morals to save you instead of part you out. Plus if everyone was an organ donor, there wouldn't be a shortage of organs.
the doc's motivation to save you is all the damn lawsuits that get thrown around in the states, that right there would be more than enough motivation to save someone
