nothing you say is as clever or witty as you apparently think it is, get off your high horse

Kiss my "O Ring", crazy. I've stepped over better people than you to get into a scrap.

She giggled after she said you were looking to upgrade? Sounds to me like she was making a joke. Laughing at those who feel their bike is the only bike. I'll bet she was impressed that you didn't have blinders on and could buy HD gear even though your ride is Japanese. Next time give a grin back and say something like, "Well, I'm starting at the top and working down. The jacket is next, then chaps, then a bike."

Every thread seems to have his "gems of wisdom". Its convienent when the Jesters make themselves so conspicuous.

Yes, it is. Sometimes you make it too easy, though.

Is the heat getting to everyone?
I get men coming up to me all the time because they think my bike looks like a Harley. When they get close enough to see the Yamaha logo they look so unimpressed.
I tell them it's prettier than a Harley.
I don't give a fat rat's behind what anyone rides. I ride what I ride because I like it, it fits me and I had only so much money to spend.
Who cares what you ride? To each their own.
My leather chaps are Harley Davidson that I wear with my Joe Rocket mesh armoured jacket and I ride a Yamaha.....I am a walking/riding fashion faux pas.

I agree, I think she was just teasing Bachstrad. No biggie, IMO. It
was a Harley dealership, after all.
Blues is right, it must be the heat, we're all testy in here today, and the "Harley Davidson" topic brings it out for some reason. HD is just a brand of bikes. Ride 'em if you like 'em, don't ride 'em if you don't.

Sounded just like a bit of a joke to me -- I really wouldn't take it seriously. I went into my local HD Dealership to buy some glasses. The sales lady just casually asked what I ride. I said awkwardly, "Umm. . . I kind of ride the competition. . .Am I still allowed to be here?"
She didn't take it as an insult regarding a percieved elitist impression many have of Harley riders; she took it as the simple joke it was. Something tells me you should take it that way as well -- that's likely the way it was intended, no?

oh my, another anti-harley thread....
well I was doing some sewer testing today and the foreman rode a harley, he liked my bike and was wondering what size engine it had with such a rumble out the back. He said he was looking at getting an M109r but was probably gonna build an addition on his house instead. Old really rough looking harley rider, just excited to share a two wheel fixation with someone else on the jobsite, despite having a clear 30-40 year differance, a polar oposite amount of dirt on each of us, we had a couple common goals, stay upright on the road, and make these damn manholes pass inspection.

testify. i hate having to dodge manholes because they are either sunk in or raised up by about 3 or 4 inches.
