as comic book guy would say, worst analogy ever. and irrelevant to anything? because of roethlisberger's celebrity status, and because this is a sick and twisted country we live in, he is able to portray motorcycles and motorcycle riding in a postitive or negative manner with far more influence than the average rider. it's a sad fact, but it's a fact nonetheless.

What celebrity status? First I ever heard of him was when he crashed his motorcycle.

apparantly you haven't watched a football game, espn, the superbowl, picked up a sports illustrated, or spoken with anyone who watches football the last two years. that's tough to do.

Not everybody watches football. I am obsessed with football, but don't know the names for faces of any actor/actress or music celebrities. I just choose to watch football instead of TV or movies. To each his own...

the guy's a tool, he gives motcyclists a bad name. He doesn't deserve to have his name remebered

I hate to say it but everyone would have been better off if he died so that all the squids out there might actually take notice and realize that not wearing a helmet is stupid and has can have serious consequences.

I'm not really saying I wish he died, but i'm jsut saying that he's popular enought that a serious accident with real injuries might have made a difference.

Please create a "Roofsburger" thread elsewhere. I really didn't want to talk about him.

i totally agree with you, but due to the nature of forums and message board communications, just wait, this will turn into a HD vs. Sportbikes thread and then a Helmets vs. No helmets thread, then someonw will pull out the deadhorse.gif and Verm will talk about how his knee touched the ground (while praying at church)

sorry,

on topic, I think you deffinitely need to step in and at the least help him get the bike home safely. If h's happily married, his wife will have a lot of persuasive power. :D explain to her the consequences of his action. Help him find a small beginner bike to learn on even if he does buy the hyabusa.

You can't just sit back and tell yourself "I did all I could" because that not going to be a good enough excuse when he's dead.

who?

roethlisberger

take two seconds, google it, spell it right. :frusty:
It's easier to spell and frankly I could care less to remember the guys name. Why waste brain cells try to remember someone who I do not know personally and whom will never have any affect on my life. I wish people would learn from the mistakes of the "people they worship." Especially when it ruins their life and those around him.

It's a sad fact that after Ben Rofflesburger's crash, sales for Hayabusa's probably shot up at least 25%. Because man if a Hayabusa is fast enough to take out the invulnerable Ben Rofflesburger, than it's man enough for me.

It's sad that we spend so much time and money devoted to sports which in the end contribute little to society, other than making some rich guys richer. Millions out people out there would rather go to a conference and listen to some sports guy instead of listening to some important scientist or someone of great intelligence speaking about something that impact our environment.
