no worries, it's not very easy to distinguish intent in the written word sometimes. people write like they talk and know the tone they would be speaking in, but you miss inflection, tone, and facial expressions that would be a dead give away if you weren't just looking at text.
i'm as guilty of it as the next guy ...unless the next guy is typing in braille. (since i don't know how many raised dots it would take to make a smilie let me say this was a joke)
