odds are, they just have some deal worked out.
LMFAO - this one takes the cake. They spend how much engineering an amazing race bike... and then skimp on tires? Your bike has a nicer seat, better tires, more power, more torque and on and on and on compared to my bike. And I'd still wager I ride mine harder then you ride yours.

I sincerely doubt Suzuki would skimp on road tires for their bikes just to save $18 off the unit price. That's like saying, make the medal out of gold, but use twice for the string.

they didn't skimp on tires... the BT014 are currently the best street tires of bridgestone. AFAIK.

my point is the best street tire of michelin and dunlop is just better based on what i can see and heard from others. im just trying to do more research so i asked around here.

i just like to try the pilot powers 1st before i try the qualifiers.

I have a great amount of faith in the Michelin Pilot Road. They've kept me upright for 18,000km so far through everything from water up to my footpegs or twisty mountain roads that had recently been grated (top layer of pavement ground off). A phenominal all around tire.

Addmitedly, I've had the back end slide more then once, often because I fail to properly warm up the tire before engaging in immature antics, but they've always come back for me.

*edit* - Impartial 3rd party review
http://www.canyonchasers.net/reviews/ac ... t-road.php
The rear tire is what makes the Pilot Roads special. They handle great. They seem to have a soft sidewall which is a trait that I like in a tire. They grip pretty darn good in the wet and even better in the dry. I even installed a set of Road on the Hawk and have done a couple track days on them. Under 80% riding they perform great, but push them a bit harder and they will start to overheat and get a little bit slippery. But that only tends to happen when pushing the tires really hard in a track environment. For everyday “spirited” riding they behave brilliantly.

Yes, you definately need the added performance. Coupled with drastically increased wear, reduced straight line stability, and declining comfort. All at greatly increased cost. You little ridge racer you.

I was going to post again the opinions of a couple of friends that use/have used them but it is not what you want to hear, so I won't bother.

5000 miles is not drastically increased wear to me.
