Motorcycle specific jackets will be longer in the sleeves and wider across the shoulders to accomodate your arms being in front of you.

Be aware that textile wears badly compared to leather. Its colour fades quickly and it is prone to fraying.
So if you want a jacket that looks good for more than one season, stick with leather.

Yeah, there's some TRASH gear out there, both textile AND leather. Buy the best you can afford. Usually you get better quality and more features for your money, going with textile.
