I've always wondered just how much premiums jump after a major claim like theft or a total write-off in a wreck...
Luckily it's never happened to me, or anyone else I know.
Anyone here written a bike off completely? How much did your premiums go up?

I'm 24 and married.
I pay $324 a year for two bikes.
2004 Kawasaki ZZR600 with full coverage for $18 a month
1989 Honda VTR250 with liability only for $9 a month
The Kawi has a $500 deductable for comprehension and a $1000 deductable for collision. This is a good way to save money if you are a responsible rider but worried about theft, vandalism, acts of god.
It also includes $1000 for my own medical expenses, which is just enough to cover my deductable for my regular health insurance.
And it covers 50 or 100 grand for passenger medical. Can't remember which. 100k I hope.

That's not bad, about 8 times what I pay for a bike made in 1985.

What would be the cheapest Insurance agency, my friends dad is a broker through Allstate, and I have him for car isurance, but I will switch if I hear there is a standout for motorcycles.

Its going to vary from state to state, so you should call around and get a bunch of quotes.
