those of you making jokes about his death deserve to die yourself.

I think he had some cool shows, and it's sad that he's dead and all. But to be totally honest, we all know that something like this had to happen sooner or later. If you stick your neck out enough times it'll get chopped eventually.

I hope his families doing okay.

And come to think of it there's going to be a lot of movies/fake clips that we can't watch anymore. Dr. Dolittle springs to mind, where the croc bites off his arm.

Luckily those wishing death upon others for recognizing the ironic humour inherent in this tradgedy don't deserve death themselves, eh?

im sure steve irwin is not a guy who would like to pass away of old age in a death bed.

"This was only the third known fatality in Australian history from a stingray attack, and the first since 1945. As of 1996, only seventeen worldwide fatalities had been recorded."

Crikey, we've 'ad more people die from Bee stings!!!

And if that wasn't ironic enough our news services are saying he was filming for his Daughters show while waiting for the weather to change so he could get the footage he went out there for...

Ah well, sometimes fate just has it in for you...

All round good bloke I reckon, and most of the critism levelled at him in online forums since he died could be levelled at most of us.

:(

I made more than my fair share of fun of him. Kinda expected him to accumulate a couple of prosthetics instead of biting the big one though.

Shame. Good fella it seemed like. Even though he was crazier than a shithouse rat.

Good entertainer. I guess no one saw the video of him dangling his kid in front of a croc.

That the one where he had his kid under noe hand while feeding the croc with the other?

The Croc would have had to go through Steveo to get to the child and was somewhat more interested in the chicken at the time.

It's not like Jacko dangling his kid out of a hotel room window, 30 odd years of handling experience has got to count somewhere.

I have many years of experience dangling things, doesn't make it right for me to go dangling babies anywhere. I am sorry that he passed, but after that incident I lost most of my respect for him. There was no reason for him to endanger his kid like that. How long do you really think it would have taken for that croc wipe him out and take the child in its jaws? Not long I'd imagine.
