Wow, I really have to make it out to Japan!!
Be careful about polishing the Sidi boots. Putting the wrong polish will seal up the pores in the leather and the boots won't be able to "vent" properly. Looks like you've got a lot more venting in your shin area than on mine, so you may not have that issue.
