Go back, take a photo of the road, and explain that the road conditions caused you to lose control. Should be pretty cut and dry. They should just be happy you aren't suing them for failing to maintain safe road conditions.

not much to say. a week has gone by. found a coworker willing to get me in to work. here's a pic of the scar. last count is 26 staples

in this picture you can see that it tapers off over 100 feet into the merge lane on the right. And after a week, still no fix or warning

Fight it in court. That is a definite road hazard. While you're at it, sue the construction company for damages. You can get the company's name from the city.

Exact same thing happened to my friend (lip in the highway through his little car back across the lane), he got total value of his car, the other people's cars that were involved, medical damages, court costs, and a little extra.

Usually they have up a warning sign about the uneven pavement. No sign? Snap a picture of the road that shows there is no warning sign.

any one else notice more of the members here have worse accidents and are hurt more in their cages rather then their bikes....

itd be interseting to see those stats...

I'm amazed at the road conditions the government authorities apparently convince themselves are OK. On I-295 in the Trenton, NJ area, for several miles one lane has new pavement, one lane has been milled, and one lane still has the old pavement. The drop-off between the new pavement and the milling is at least 3 inches. The edge is full of loose asphalt and stones which are constantly kicked up by vehicles' tires. This section of road has been like this for several days, and is announced by a single 2 foot high sign. Cars hit this area at 75-80 mph. The same thing that happened to Bluemonkie is going to happen here, except at 80mph, not 35.

Pictures pictures, pictures. So i have most of the motion back in my arm. If I can keep getting it straight over the next two weeks consistently then i'm good, if not a kink in the arm forever. Still no control of wrist or able to lift fingers. I'm showing good recovery according to everyone working with me. Can't wait to get back on a bike though
