Similar situation but no contact with the cager. I was out on a country road and noticed this ford Taurus coming up behind me rather fast. I was going around 70 mph so he had to be going in the neighborhood of 90 or better. This road was straight but had lots of little hills making the sight distance a bit short for even 70 mph. We came to a stop sign and I made a right onto another highway and he followed. I took off and left him trying real hard to catch me. About 4 miles along he caught up to me again in this long straight flat stretch. I kicked it to 100 mph and he was still gaining so I kicked it to 110. By this time we were almost through the straight part and was coming up on a real sharp curve. Just when I got to the point where I knew I had to slow to make the curve I hit the brakes and he shot around me like a rocket. HE ALMOST lost it in the curve. Luckily we could see around the curve and no other vehicles were coming but he drifted all the way across into the other lane and almost hit the ditch sliding. After that he slowed down considerable but I didn't pass him thinking he might try doing something stupid. When we got into town and stopped at a stop light he gave me a stupid grin...

I was cruising in the $50 lane with a semi behind me on the Florida turnpike about 85mph, about 1 AM. A cage (Olds 98) in the right lane going a little slower came up on a slower car and began to crowd me, no signal, not even looking. I know, because I could see the guy's face in his outside mirror. I hit the horn (pair of 130db high-low) and throttle (braking not a choice because the semi no way could stop, and headed over to the yellow line. The cager just jerked it on over to avoid the slow car he was about to rear-end. He couldn't have missed me by 2 inches. I passed the slower car in the right lane, backed it off to 85 again, and pulled it over.
The car that about hit me pulled up beside me in the left lane, blew the horn, and the basturd flipped me off. I faced forward, checked the mirrors, and covered the clutch and brakes. He blew the horn a couple more times, and I just ignored him. Then he jerked it over in a deliberate attempt to hit me. He went all the way over the white line. I grabbed the brakes and he zoomed on past. The semi zoomed on past, too.
I killed the lights and pulled into the left lane, up beside the rear tandem of the semi. The driver could see me in his mirror from the dim light of his side markers, but no way the cager could see me in the glare of the semi's headlights. The trucker waved me forward, and we cruised side-by-side about 100mph until we caught the car. At the last second, I downshifted to 3rd, nailed the throttle, and passed the cage, kicking off the outside mirror. Caught totally by surprise, the cager darn near lost it, slamming on the brakes and running off the road. I hit my lights and took it up to about 140 until I topped a hill.
I braked hard, pulled over to the fence, and killed the lights. The truck went by, but no cage. I pushed up to see traffic, but no oncoming traffic. I chased the truck down to give the driver a wave of appreciation, but by the time I caught him, he was down to 40mph or so. As I pulled up beside him, he yelled out the cage was still behind us. It had stopped, but was again rolling (ain't CB radios wonderful). Would I like another shot?
I gave him a thumbs up, and he pulled over to the emergency lane. I parked my bike in the grass just to the right of his drive axles, shut it down, and climbed up in the cab to introduce myself. We chatted a few minutes, then the cage blew past us going about 70. I jumped out and the trucker went after him. I followed a safe distance behind the trucker where the cager couldn't see my headlight.
When the trucker caught up to the cager, he pulled into the left lane. I killed the lights, nailed the throttle, and kicked the other outside mirror off the cage. Caught the basturd by surprise again. Eventually the trucker caught up to me again, and told me a trooper was waiting at the next service plaze to take a statement, would I like to file a complaint. I gave him a thumbs up, and pulled in when we got there. The trucker pulled in, too. We met up with the trooper, then headed into the restaurant for a table. The trucker and I ordered food, and the trooper accepted a cup of joe.
Lo and behold, just as our drinks arrived, the cage with the missing mirrors pulled up. The driver turned out to be a snowbird retiree. He stomped into the restaurant and loudly demanded to know where the trooper was that drove the car outside. He went on and on about being attacked by a motorcycle gang. After a couple minutes making a fool of himself, the trooper just walked up to the old turd, spun him around, cuffed him, and arrested him for assault with a deadly weapon. The DA eventually increased the charge to attempted murder.
About that time, the car the fart swerved around in the first place arrived, and the driver (single mom with 2 small kids) came up to the trooper and told the trooper the same story the trucker did. Seems she had a CB, too, and had lurked, listening too the whole thing go down. The trucker left, but I hung around and bought the girl and her kids breakfast. Once the investigation was complete, it took a while for a wrecker to come to pick up the loser's cage, we were free to go. The girl left, after we made arrangements to meet up in Orlando in a couple days.
I walked past the old guy sitting in the back of the cruiser, gave him a thumbs up, and said, "Beautiful night for a ride, don't you think?" I just roared laughing as his curses pierced the night.
We never made it to court. About two months later the turd swerved into a semi on the turnpike, taking out the driver, himself, and a family of four in the car he wanted to pass. No survivors.
The trooper returned

For some reason people see a bike and just have to pass it. I run into this whether it's a mom in a minivan, or a teenager in a riced out civic. I'll do legal speeds, they pass me at high speed, and then slow down once they get past.
