You can boycod almost any country if you are looking at these things. I agree with you, but then again buying stuff that has the same/similar source is hypocriet.

You guys are just drinking the wrong American beers. It is a common myth is that all American beers are watered-down schlock. Fat Tire, Sierra Nevada, Stone Brewery (makers of Arrogant bastrd Ale), and Rogue, just to name a few, are American brews that will beat anything out there.
Beside those, and multitudes of others, that make beers that you can buy anyplace that sells good beers, there are thousands of local microbrews that make their own beer locally. Cincinnati has the Barrelhouse Brewery. Excellent ales and lagers. Though unfortunately the restaurant went under and now they only distribute to local bars and other restaurants.
Try a Rogue Shaksperean Stout or Stone Breweries Arrogant bastrd Ale. And if you can't get them, maybe we can work out some way of shipping some contraband over there to ya.
P.S. I hope Kal wasn't referring to Molson's or Moosehead

Here's the actual beer war to which I was referring:
http://www.american.edu/projects/mandal ... eercan.htm
Though in reference to the other beer war that was started, the one of taste and not trade, America does have good beers, but you usually need to stay local to find them. 'Cept for Sam Adams, that's always good anywhere.

More great American Beers -
Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout (North Coast Brewing Company)
Old Chub - Only comes in a can but it's excellent, from Colorado
If you like chocolatey smooth porter style ales OLD CHUB is the only beer you will ever need. It's the only beer I miss here. Of course, I can console myself by purchasing 12-Packs of Chimay Blue at rediculously low prices.

There are some good U.S. beers out there, but besides MGD they do not come from major breweries, Same as most places though the micro breweries/ independants are usualy better in terms of quality.
My faves in order are
Alexander Keiths tied with Moosehead for first
then the rest in no particular order
Harp
Guiness
MGD
Hogarden (probably spelled wrong)
there are ohters but I just cant think of them

I hope people realize that there is a difference between china-r.o.c. (tiawan) and people rebulic of china (evil commy regime)...the two are vastly different.
just thought I'd point that out. they should be lumped together as 'china'...

What makes it "Evil"
... And why wasn't it included in the "Axis of Evil"
