My jacket from newenough.com arrived last friday. I think it took either four or five days from order to when I received it. Great jacket - very high quality heavy leather (see link above for jacket) with removable armor and liner. But I didn't like the fit. It was just a little too stiff and the collar poked me in the chin and was generally irritating. So I emailed them and they said to just send it back and they'll refund me minus shipping fees. Very fair in my opinion. I'll definitely order from them again. Good selection, quality stuff, fair prices, good website (even though it's a pain to email for prices the deals are worth it) and good return policy and customer service.

I ended up buying this jacket...

at a local motorcycle event. I got it for $199 (about what I paid for the returned jacket from newenough) which is $50 lesss that jafrum is selling it for and $100 less than I saw it for at a local store. You can get some great bargains online, but nothing beats trying it on in person. Hey, you try being 5'7" with a 50" chest! The best of all worlds is try something on in a store, write down what it was and then find it online cheaper. Or support the local economy and buy it from them - that's ultimately what I did in a roundabout way. I will buy from newenough.com again though - this one just didn't work out. Now, about those riding pants...

I'm do this all the time, really works pretty nice (whether I'm buying something or just want to remember).

I've got a whole stack of receipts and paper scraps on my work bench in the garage because they've all got stuff written on it I never got around to looking up.

Holy cow! I know you're up in Canada, but this seems like an excessive time to wait unless they told you beforehand. Have you called them to see what's up?

Ya and I got nowhere with them, and sent an e-mail telling them they have 24 hours to come up with a customs number. Will see what happens.

Well I orderd the leather on May 1 and it got to me yesterday June 3rd. The leather is good quality and I'm happy with it. The tool bag is made of very heavy leather and I like it to. The thing I did not like was how long it took to get here, other orders form the US came within a week or so.
Would I order from Jafrum again, NO. There are other sites with far better service.

Thanks for letting us know. Damn, that's a long time to wait - especially during riding season.

Items coming from south of the border can be rather unpredictable. somethings seem to slip through in a week to ten days and others can take six weeks. It works both ways. I shipped some model airplane parts to the US and one fellow had to wait 6 weeks to get his while the others got theirs in about 2. Needless to say, the recipient was getting rather concerned since this was a purchase he had made through Ebay. I'm sure he was beginning to think he had been scammed. However the shipping date is right on the package so after he got it he realized that I had not been feeding him cowflop.

Maybe you need to ask yourself if having the extra dollars in your pocket is worth the wait, that might make it easier to take. :? The sales people have no control over the Canadian Customs and I can vouch for the fact that Customs people can be real dickheads.

That's true, it can take some time to get here. But I sent them e-mail and both times they gave me a different shipping date, now that aint right. Had they gave me the same date then I would not have complaint about it.
Now I don't know if they can be trusted anymore.
Oh well.
