I don't argue the merits of different bikes at all. Everyone chooses to ride what they want and they are all pretty good.
Your right it is the soap box and you can vent at anything you like, talk about anything you like, post anything you like as long as it's clean.
But
It just seems that a good many of the posts get personal and take jibes at other members and that is sad.

You are right, but it hasn't always been this way here and I am hoping that we will get beck to full and honest exchanges without personal insults.

I think it will soon.
And when the weather improves.

It's been relatively tropical down here in the States especially the 55F days around my town.
To get back to the original post, how about Romania or Pikes Peak.

Pikes Peak doesn't need to be a good road. I think it's silly to waste good money maintaining that road because it doesn't go anywhere. Well, maybe the cost of maintaining the road is born by the income from tourism. Then the road makes economic sense as a tourist trap.

It's snowing here this morning.
With the amount of people here who have learned to drive in the last dozen or so years who have never seen snow....they are very scary out there on the roads.
It's a good day to take the bus.

why maintain it? Pikes Peak is used in Rally Racing and should be more rugged. Once I get any duallie i'll be hitting some freaky roads.

So, Rally Racing justifies public moneys on a road that goes nowhere? Not justifiable. I suppose the income from the races enhances the local economy, making road maintenance an investment.
