I commute on the bike On days off I'll scoot off as and when I can, sometimes 150-200 miles, somedays 30-40 miles. I've done longer rides on holiday and next year to celebrate my 40th I'm planning to do John O'Groats to Lands End :D

I enjoy joy riding under 100 miles in length. I enjoy the occasional ride on the highway, pref in a group though.
But as far as my actual riding, I do around 100-150miles a week commuting to school, work, shopping, and misc.

my bike...

Most of my riding is daily commute, although I do a lot of pleasure riding when the weather is good. I've done 900 miles in a single day for the shear enjoyment of it. I just enjoy riding.

My thinking is;

"Any day that starts and ends with a motorcycle ride, is a good one".

If I ride it's usually at least 100 miles

Under 100mls. Takes to damn long otherwise. The way the roads are laid out, low speeds limits and the layout of the country in general, there's not really a way to cover distance in any decent amount of time. 70kms often takes an hour. Which is bogus compared to covering 70miles in an hour in the States.

All of the above, and everything beyond and in between. I don't drive, so I do everything on two wheels ( 8) ).

I commute 175 miles one way, so 350 a week. I enjoy my ride untill about 90 miles. Then things start going numb. It used to be only at 30 miles before things started to go numb, so give me another 4 months of this stuff and I will enjoy over 100 miles.

I find that the early mornig 0300 ride is a blessing, I am totally awake within 2 miles of leaving my house. By the time I get to work I am wired. So, I agree with the motto "Any day that starts and ends with a ride is a good day" Except I would change mine to week!
