If it was from drunkenly feeding sharks without a cage, I'd feel I deserved it.

Yea, it is dumb to do it on the highway, but there is no reason for 10-15 people to say the same thing. Yes, he wasn't wearing boots but there is no need to call him an idiot.
"procreating" exactly right.
If you're going to gloat about something that WILL happen to you, do so quietly. It's just as easy to say "well the stupid "fudge" should have been looking further ahead" or "why did that idiot hit the brakes mid corner when he saw that gravel" as it is to wonder why someone chose to ride a wheelie up the highway.

...as i said before, he had gear. just not boots....the only damage done was to his bike and his leg.
when i posted the thread, i wasn't looking to get comments on the rider or stunting on the highway. I was just trying to remind everyone to wear their boots.
...having the passenger peg land in ur ankle is one the last things that you'd expect after looping a wheelie. same thing could've happened in many other ways...he couldve been making a sharp turn and the bike couldve fell on his leg
...
so the message i was trying to get through was...
"sh*t happens, be prepared, wear gear"

This is minor by comparison, but...
Was riding and ran over a wire about 18 inches long, and about the gauge of a clothes hanger (could not see it on the asphalt, as you can guess).
Front wheel grabbed hold of it just long enough for it to enter and exit the side of my boot. Had it been a gym shoe... ick. It was stuck there for a mile or so while I calmed down and made sure I could stop safely.
Strange, I'll ride without a helmet but not without boots and gloves.
