I don't think it should be private. Lots of people read the forums who never sign up as a member. I have no problems with the guys reading or responding. If someone is a jerk tell them to back off and stop being a slob. I'd assume thats part of moderation.

I must admit I rarely check the Ladies forum, leaving it to Blues and Pam

But I guess that if they're both busy, it can be some time before the "O Ring" posts get weeded out. Would it be worth me keeping an eye out for posts designed purely for inflamitory reasons too? Or are you happy the way it is?

I check the ladies forum everyday, but since I, like most people, are not at their computers 24/7, I sometimes miss things. Often the offender has been removed by the time I get here.

It may have to do with the time zones.

I don't mind if the guys post in...but....it should be appropriate..otherwise MYOB. :)

From one who has been reading (about 1 1/2 yrs) this forum and others, I would hate to see it privatized. Many like myself are not inclined to post, but have learned and been inspired so much from reading postings from others.

I'm with bedazzled, I lurked a lot before I ever registered, read a tonne of info and I think that a lot of women would enjoy the chance to being able to research and read the forums without joining.

Of course then, everyone is so friendly how could you not join??
