The HJC I have indeed does have removal liner, and the visor removal is fantastic. As for the visor "click up" - no idea what this phenomenon is, but I have no problem with mine.
As for skimping on the helmet, its not really possible so long as you buy one that is DOT/Snell approved - which most are (HJC is at least - some may only be SNELL approved, but they may be foreign models). The added cost for other helmets are supposed expert designs, but my helmet works perfectly - minimal noise (does whistle when you turn your head, but thats to be expected, and only if you have vents open), doesn't fog me up, and again - looks boss. You can buy two HJC, BELL, or ZAMP helmets for MAYBE the price of one good SHOEI.
