I would love to have a 1959 R69S.
A little hard to find as they didn't make it till 60. And I think 61 was first in US and Canada.

Hey ... I got an R1200R in the first week in May and it is my first bike ever. I have driven cars for over 30 years and motorcycles of friends from time to time but now own my own. So far my greatest challenge has been slow ride. Speeds below 10 mph. I can usually find the clutch, throtle, and rear brake sweet spots but sometimes ... I don't. Another challenge is when I slow down. Like entering a parking lot is difficult. I almost want to stop then start again to find the 'slow ride' speed. I have 580 miles and need to get the 600 mile maint. done. The dealer is 90 miles away. Have I put myself in a corner? Seems like riding the bike to the dealer would be ok but haven't decided yet.
I don't know sunshine from shoe shine when it comes to motorcycles but the bike is friendly to me. A little foward motion and it is very stable. The issue is me. Sometimes I trust myself and sometimes I don't. Tonight on my way home I pulled into a gas station from a dry street and discovered the stations driveway was wet and had detergent mixed into the water. The story had a happy ending. Got gas and went home.
I think I might have said June before as the purchase date; however it was May.
