My biggest fear was allways just the embarrassment of making a mistake in public. Never hitting a car, or dumping the bike, just stalling while cagers were about. Eventually (second day or so) I got over it, and mistakes became 'learning experiences' so it was all good.

Even if you do get embarrassed, no big deal. If you're wearing a full face helmet, you are anonymous anyway.

It gets better.
Just don't be odd like me and cheerfully drive 500 miles to ride with your friends and do stupid things like wobble at stops and stall your bike cuz your so intimidated by the maze of city traffic.
It improves. One day you go 'wow I'm not thinking about it anymore' you are just doing it. You start just reacting to things.
My weekend excursion has taught me to try as many different roads and traffic types as possible. Having been in a 'city' enviorment for the first time I am finding more confidence.
It comes with time and experience.

I'm not only the owner of the stop wobbler club I'm also a member. I'm sure it'll get better over time but it is kind of silly looking. The problem mostly comes from me trying to not stop in the middle of the lane at an intersection because of all the gunk usually built up. The problem being I forget to do it until the last second
Though the wobbling usually seems to make the cagers back off hmm..
