i generally ride in 5th, and if i am not in 5th, i am in 4th, and it's because i had to downshift for some reason. so i remember that.
also i take most corners in 2nd- not big curves, but normal 90 degree turns.
so i tap down 3 times. if you tap to much you feel the drop to first.
