Glad to hear that you're OK. Another point scored for wearing full gear. It's got me thinking (again) about my own lack of leg protection. Stay safe!

Cheers,
Loonette

You and me both. Still trying to find a pair of overpants that I a: can fit into, b: has the protection I am seeking, c: looks good and d: can afford.

Right now I am trying to scrape together the money to pay for my repairs to Sabre's electrical system. C$1100 is a tad bit more then I have right now, especially this time of the year, what with Christmas and a pack of nieces and nephews to look after, and that list has doubled since last year....sigh.....

dakals wrote:WOW!!!!!! I couldn't even imagine running into a bear. Of course i live in the lower part of Wisconsin so i don't get to see any bears but i wouldn't want to anyways. They can stay in the zoo where i can see them. HAHA! They are beautiful to look at though. Ride careful.
Come up to BC sometime, we are swimming in the buggers, Black Bears, Grizzlies, Kodiaks and Spirit Bears (a sub-species of of Black Bears with white coats). Hell, they even wanders down out of the North Shore mountains and cross the harbour to get into downtown Vancouver once in awhile......as do Cougars. Also, if you do visit a word of advise, that friendly dog you are feeding and petting, it could well be a Coyote.

Oh my god!!!!!! I would love to visit there but now i'm not so sure anymore. Just kidding. How do you do it with all of those animals running around? I am just a beginner on a bike and i am scared enough about running over a squirrel. Stay safe i really hate hearing about someone on a bike crashing.

Dang, if I had to buy gifts for all the nieces and nephews, I'd be broke...

19 nieces and nephews

24 GREAT nieces and nephews (and 1 more on the way right now...)
I'd need 6 jobs just to keep up with the birthdays never mind Christmas...

You guys better start looking soon!

(with the leathers)

My knee was burnt and has a 2 inch by 2 inch patch of red pussing skin.

My right hip also has a big patch of skin that's been rubbed off by the friction that's ALSO pussing.

The side of the bike landed on my boot/leathers and my boot has big chunks dug into...

I can easily say that without these leather pants, good chunks of my skin would be crayoned into the road!

ALSO: Make sure what ever you buy fits snug on you. My leathers were loose and because of that I got a bit of rash.

Nice to see you're alright, that's a big slide.

Aside from the fact that they obviously work, from the shots those look exactly like the kind of pants that I'm in the market for.

Can you tell me who makes them?
