Yea, it's beautiful.Lake George is very touristy though, up where I am in the lake pleasant area not so much.prices aren't too bad for food and lodging and fewer people go there but it's not a ghost town.

google Lake Pleasant and Speculator NY and you can get the home pages for them.
Easy to get to, 287 north,to the NYS thruway exit 27 Amsterdam and take rt 30 north about an hour once you get off the Thruway

Most of my riding with be local. I hope to do the Boulder loop (Utah Highway 12 from torrey to Panguitch) if summer EVER gets here.

Then this fall I hope to ride to Vegas.

Make sure that you stop at the Panhandle and get Hyderized. Even if you don't drink it is a beautiful little side trip to Hyder.
