their sentencing may be like our mandatory sentencing for drug trafficing here.it was meant to be a deterrent to others when they saw somebody get 30 years regardless of whether the judge thought the penalty was too severe.of course it didnt work here.assuming that she is actually guilty why would anybody in their right mind try something like that knowing that the penalty could be death or enough time to destroy your future.as far as being searched here,something as simple as a trip to traffic court now means a thorough search.i had to go to an IRS office here to get some forms and was subjected to a pat down and full search of everything i was carrying.

I say some Aussies should find (I said find, not 'plant'.. I just meant... 'actively' find. ;)) a brick of coke on the next Indonesian visitor. ;P

Then maybe they can trade-off.

i think shes guilty. anyone check if she has a boyfriend, what his history is, maybe he talked her into doing it. i dont see how anyone could stuff 9 pounds or whatever into your bag at the airport and you not notice. if she didnt notice then well too bad for her, its your responsibility to notice that kind of thing in an airport.
